Bicyclist killed in Oct. 21 crash in Northeast Portland identified

The name of the victim is Damon M. Cousins, Portland police reported. He was 32 years old.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) on Thursday identified a bicyclist who was hit and killed by a vehicle in the Parkrose neighborhood in Northeast Portland on Oct. 21.

The name of the victim is Damon M. Cousins, PPB reported. He was 32 years old.

Around 9 a.m. on Oct. 21, police responded to reports of a crash around Northeast 105th Avenue and Northeast Marx Street. Responding medics pronounced the male cyclist dead at the scene. The driver remained and is cooperating with the investigation, Portland police said on Oct. 21.

It was the second fatal bicycle crash that morning.

Around 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 21, a vehicle collided with a bicyclist near the intersection of Northeast 128th Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street. The bicyclist, a man, was killed in the collision. The driver of the vehicle took off, Portland police said.
