Bichon frise feuding with fellow dog has internet in hysterics: ‘he mad”

A Bichon Frise’s feud with his owner’s other dog has got pet fans talking online.

Footage of Rocky the dog shooting a death stare in the direction of canine companion and fellow Bichon Frise Cometin was shared to TikTok by their owner Lilian Preyes.

The video has proven popular among dog lovers, racking up 1.8 million views, with fans left pondering the source of Rocky’s apparent rage towards Cometin. The clip offers one potential clue to the source of their feud, with Rocky shown sat on the couch with his owner while Cometin lurks in the doorway, unsure of whether to enter or not. Watch it here.

According to veterinarian Dr. Katherine Houpt, the confined space of a household can often prove a source of contention among canines. “Confined spaces and narrow hallways can be a problem,” she told Animal Wellness Magazine. “Small spaces can cause excitement, which leads to redirected aggression.”

Dr. Houpt believes the bed and couch, in particular, fall into this category. “The couch is the worst place,” she said. In these instances, dogs can often incorrectly assume they are “large breeds” when sat in the vantage point offered by the couch. Dr. Houpt said as a result, the couch can often become a resource that they choose to guard when enjoying time with their owner.

That certainly appears to be the case with Rocky, but, as the onscreen caption suggests, the exchange is seemingly part of an on-going spat between the two. “When you just had a fight with your brother and you don’t know how to fix it,” the accompanying text reads.

That suggests the footage comes in the aftermath of a fight involving the pair, with the sheepish Cometin evidently eager to make amends and Rocky refusing to play ball.

For many watching along on social media, however, it was Rocky’s furious look towards his canine companion that had them in stitches.

One viewer, writing as Nayab, said: “I never seen a dog mad I’m dead.”

Patricia Webster summed up the situation perfectly, writing: “Brother on the floor is sorry and wants to make amends. Brother on the couch is sick and tired of brother on the floor.” Nika Leverett said: “The dog on the couch holds grudges” with Virgohoney going one step further, writing: “Brother on the couch is ready to throw them paws.”

“Ooohhh…he mad!” Marlener1066 commented with Ginnaybeard1 adding: “Someone’s holding a grudge!” Donna.parker commented: “The one on the floor makes me want to cry his little feelings look hurt so bad” with Marydamartin replying: “The one on the sofa is giving the you better stay over there.”

Todayisthegreatest, meanwhile, was left wondering if there was any way back for the pair, commenting: “I don’t think there’s any fixing this fight!!” Thankfully, Preyes has since posted videos showing the two canines living in harmony alongside each other, having evidently worked through their problems.
