Bessent says services, not goods, are driving inflation

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that services inflation — rather than goods — is the main factor keeping price pressures elevated.

On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Bessent looked to counter any claims that tariffs had pushed up prices as Thanksgiving approaches, saying “inflation
