Bard at the Barn: Free outdoor, family-friendly Shakespeare performances – Charlotte On The Cheap

Shepherd Shakespeare Company is presenting Bard at the Barn — free, outdoor, family-friendly performances of The Tempest.

The performances will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from September 20 to October 12, 2025, at 11 a.m., at The Barn at MoRA, 8492 McAlpine Park Drive. (You can also use 8300 Monroe Road as the address.)

Donations are welcome!

Dates of performances in 2025:

  • Saturday, September 20
  • Sunday, September 21
  • Saturday, September 27
  • Sunday, October 28
  • Saturday, October 4
  • Sunday, October 5
  • Saturday, October 11
  • Sunday, October 12

Bring blankets or chairs. You’re welcome to pack a picnic.

Admission and parking are free.
