Newark rapper Bandmanrill, Bronx drill rapper Sha EK, and Newark producer MCVertt have joined forces for a new mixtape: Defiant Presents: Jiggy in Jersey (ft. MCVertt) is out June 30 via Defiant and Warner. Below, watch the artists’ video for the new song “Pistons.”
Bandmanrill and MCVertt have worked together closely for years, reinvigorating Jersey club for a new generation. Bandmanrill eventually connected with Sha EK last year for “Jiggy in Jersey” and “Who You Touch” (both of which are on the new mixtape).
More recently, the artists have shared music under the Defiant Presents banner: Sha EK released the Most Dangerous EP in March, and Bandmanrill and MCVertt dropped the President Obandman EP in April. The new mixtape includes two more recent Defiant Presents singles: “Mr. D.C.T.” and “Never Want to Be Them, Pt. 2.”
Back in October, Bandmanrill released his first solo mixtape, Club Godfather. Sha EK released two mixtapes last year, too: Face of the What and Return of the Jiggy.
