Garden City-based Ark Technologies Companies has acquired VerisVisalign, a cloud technology and IT support company headquartered in Blue Bell, Pa.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

This is the second acquisition for Ark since the company was launched in April by tech entrepreneur Walter Cook. An IT sector veteran, Cook has grown and sold several technology businesses, including CORE BTS and Vytek Wireless Inc.

“A key element of our strategy for growth is identifying companies with leadership who share our business philosophy and understand how to effectively serve customers,” Cook said in a company statement. “VerisVisalign’s approach to client services and expertise in different verticals, including financial services and pharmaceuticals, will allow us to grow Ark and expand into new markets. This acquisition also enhances our presence in call center services, in the important Microsoft Ecosystem, as well as geographically in the mid-Atlantic market.”

VerisVisalign blends technology solutions with consultative insight around governance and process management, according to the statement. A Microsoft partner for over three decades, VerisVisalign provides consulting and support for cloud services, including Azure and O365/M365, virtualization, SharePoint, Teams, as well as training in those areas.

“Walter and his team are focused on excellence and they have a true understanding of the IT challenges that clients face,” Deborah Moses, VerisVisalign CEO, said in the statement. By leveraging Ark’s customer-centric philosophy, together we are in a stronger position to compete and attract new clients. Ark’s knowledge and relationships in the industry will be leveraged to create and develop new opportunities for us in our market and beyond.”

Privately held Ark is an IT services and consulting firm specializing in cloud services, data analytics, technology deployments and staffing. The company, which employs more than 50 people, has clients in financial services, pharmaceuticals, retail, government, K-12 and higher education. Ark also has a strategic partnership with Station Partners, a Morristown, N.J.-based private equity firm that makes control investments in support of growth for businesses with outsized potential.
