Airlines Reporting Corp. has added an API to its payment product portfolio that allows agencies to process payments with supplier direct and New Distribution Capability workflows, the company announced.

ARC Pay already offered its payment product within global distribution systems, pulling in ticket reservation data and processing transactions as a function native within Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport. The new API enables agencies to integrate payment outside of GDSs and have “a secure payment solution all seamlessly connected to ARC’s core settlement infrastructure,” according to ARC director of payment products Joseph Cavanagh.

“We designed the ARC Pay API to meet the needs of the evolving distribution landscape by embracing omnichannel retailing and the new ways in which airlines and travel retailers are making their products and content available,” he said in a statement.

The API can be embedded into mobile, web and custom software apps, ARC said.
