‘Anyone But You’ star Sydney Sweeney talks massive family Christmas, new fiancé

Sydney Sweeney detailed her massive annual family Christmas celebration in an interview with People Magazine, discussing matching onesies, Secret Santa activities and her passion for the holidays.

“I get matching onesies for every single one of my family members, pets included,” Sweeney told People. “We just have a giant room of 60 cousins, aunts and uncles, all in matching onesies.”

“I love the holidays,” said the 26-year-old actress in the conversation published Saturday.

Sweeney, who stars in the new rom-com “Anyone But You,” was born in Spokane, Wash. and lived in Idaho before later moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career at age 14.

She told People she’s looking forward to this year’s celebration after a “whirlwind” year, in which she starred in three films, including the HBO film “Reality,” for which she received her first Critics’ Choice Award nomination.

“I love just giving gifts and seeing how happy people get,” she added, discussing her family’s Secret Santa exchange.

“We do a pyramid where we all try and stack ourselves on top of each other and take a yearly photo,” she says.

It’s unclear whether her fiancé, producer Jonathan Davino, will attend the Sweeney family gathering. Sweeney has been purposefully tight-lipped on her relationship with Davino, who she has been dating since 2018.

“Everyone is always so curious about who I’m with and what’s that like, but I think it’s important to have something for me,” she told Glamour UK in an interview Dec. 19.

Sweeney denied rumors that Davino has owned multiple failed restaurants, and called him a “a business guy” from Chicago.

The two have reportedly produced films together under her new production company, Fifty-Fifty Films. One upcoming project, an adaptation of Marcus Kliewer’s short story “The Caretaker,” lists both Sweeney and Davino as producers.

The couple got engaged in 2022, but the actress claims he has been too busy with her career to start planning the wedding.
