Another Type of Pollution Is Now Tied to Alzheimer’s Risk

If you live in an area with a lot of light pollution, you are not alone: As much as 80% of the world’s population is exposed to excessive artificial outdoor lighting. Now, research has found that higher levels of light pollution are associated with a greater prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease, the most common cause of dementia. Grants from the National Institutes of Health funded the research.
