WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The annual Fiber Festival returned to the Eastern States Exposition, drawing crafters, artists, and spectators to the Mallory Complex.
The event offered an inside look at how wool and other fiber products are made, featuring craft demonstrations, workshops, and a variety of vendors.
“It’s a great time. Everyone here is in a great mood,” said Keith Tetreault, co-owner of Plainview Farm, who has participated in the festival for more than a decade. “They’re here because they want to be here. They’re here because they want to shop. They want to see the animals. They want to meet people. It’s just a great weekend.”
Guests had the opportunity to watch craft demonstrations and participate in workshops, gaining hands-on experience with fiber arts. The festival also featured a marketplace where attendees could purchase products from a variety of vendors, showcasing the diversity of fiber arts.
Several alpacas were also present at the festival, illustrating the connection between the animals and the fiber products they help produce.
For those who missed this year’s festival, organizers are already planning for its return next year on November 7 and 8, 2026, promising another opportunity to explore the world of fiber arts.
