Air New Zealand on Feb. 27 will launch new “economy stretch” seats in its economy cabin for the carrier’s Los Angeles service, the airline announced.

Available in the first four rows of the cabin, the seats will offer up to 39 percent more legroom than standard economy seats, have a 35-inch seat pitch, include a headset and pillow “designed for long-haul comfort,” and include free advanced seat selection, according to the carrier.

There will be 42 economy stretch seats on the carrier’s Boeing 777 aircraft, according to Air New Zealand.
