Air Canada in May 2024 is set to launch new year-round service between Montreal and Madrid, the carrier announced Tuesday. The service will operate five times weekly using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 255 seats configured with three cabins: Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy.

The carrier for the 2024 summer season also plans to increase frequencies from its 2023 schedule between Canada and several European cities. Service will increase between Toronto and each Athens, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Lisbon, London, Manchester, Rome and Venice. Seasonal Brussels and Edinburgh services will begin earlier than usual, on May 1 and March 1, respectively.

Service also will increase between Montreal and each Athens, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lisbon, Milan, Nice, Rome and Venice. Earlier seasonal starts include Amsterdam on March 30 and Copenhagen on May 2.

In addition, Air Canada on Tuesday announced it is expanding the use of Intelsat for Wi-Fi connectivity to an additional 95 aircraft across the company’s fleet, including on 40 Boeing 737 Max aircraft and 55 Embraer 175 and Mitsubishi CRJ-900 aircraft for Air Canada’s regional partner Jazz.
