The United States has committed more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. That includes more than $43 billion in military aid.

That’s more than the United States distributes in aid to any other country.

More than a year and a half into the conflict, U.S. public support for funding the war is wavering, particularly among Republicans. Some hard-right GOP members of the House made it a central issue in negotiations over U.S. spending. When a temporary, GOP-sponsored bill to fund the federal government was passed on Sept. 30, it left out $20 billion in assistance to Ukraine.
