PORTLAND, Oregon — A little warmer today with a few showers, possible sun breaks and Portland metro highs in the 60s.  Snow level continues to hold above 4,000 to 5,000 feet. 

A Friday afternoon cold front will bring increasing rain tomorrow with possible afternoon and evening thunderstorms.  Behind the cold front, snow levels lower to 3,000′ Friday night and hold below pass level this weekend.  Mt. Hood resorts at 5,000′ and higher could see up to 8″ of snow through the period. 

Saturday continues instability with sun breaks, heavy showers and possible spotty thunderstorms.  Rain at times is in the forecast through much of next week.
