‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ is streaming for free this weekend. Here’s how to watch

It’s the one weekend when you can watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special without subscribing to a streaming service.

WASHINGTON — “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will not air on broadcast television this fall, but it will be available to stream for free — only this weekend.

Back in 2020, Apple TV+ became the new home to all things Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang, including the beloved holiday specials. This partnership has now been extended through 2030.

While the animated specials used to air on TV, this will be the fourth year in a row that you can only watch the Thanksgiving special on Apple TV+. If you’re already a subscriber, you can watch the Peanuts specials any time you want, all season long.

Before you say “good grief,” Apple has announced it’ll once again make all the Charlie Brown holiday specials available to nonsubscribers for free for a couple of days each, just in time to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts gang.

This year, fans can watch the “Peanuts” special on Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16 for free.

Those hearing Christmas jingles this month will have to wait to watch “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for free. Apple announced that the “Peanuts” classic will be available to non-subscribers on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

Apple is currently producing a brand-new animated feature starring Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The project was first announced in 2023.

How to watch ‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ for free

1. Go to tv.apple.com or download the Apple TV app
2. Search for “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and hit play to stream for free from Nov. 15-16. If you’re an Apple TV+ subscriber, you can watch anytime. Apple also offers a seven-day free trial, so you could sign up through that as well.
