Gunshots and multiple victims were reported at Morgan State University in Maryland on Tuesday.
Baltimore Police were on the scene amid warnings of an active shooter, according to CBS News. Cops asked “everyone to shelter in place and avoid the area.”
Police confirmed that there were multiple victims in the incident, NBC News reported.

Morgan State University issued an alert on its social media channels, saying “An active investigation is currently underway related to a report of shots being fired on or near campus.”

The university also instructed students to stay clear of Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center while issuing a shelter in place order of its own.
Baltimore police were receiving assistance from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in the ongoing investigation.
