Kevin Iwamoto will join Germany-based meetings management agency Proske as a strategic advisor and serve as a non-executive board member in the United States, the company announced Monday.

In the advisory role, Iwamoto will help Proske “strategically grow our presence in the U.S. market,” and “consult in the areas of strategy, thought leadership and business development,” company co-CEO Larissa Steinbäcker said in a statement.

Iwamoto takes on the role after announcing his retirement in March, following his most recent position as Bizly’s chief customer officer and head of enterprise, within his 35-year career in the corporate travel industry. While working with Proske, Iwamoto will remain an independent consultant and “semi-retired,” according to the company.
