Taylor Swift leaned down from the SoFi Stadium stage and wrapped her arms around Bianka Bryant — the late Kobe Bryant’s 6-year-old daughter — during the opening night of the Los Angeles leg of her Eras Tour.
The touching moment came Thursday as Swift belted out fan favorite “22.” Clips shared on social media also captured the 12-time Grammy winner lovingly gifting Bianka with a black bowler hat, an exact copy of the cap she wore in the music video for the hit song.
Bianka — sporting a sequined bomber jacket and pastel skirt made of sparkly tulle — attended Swift’s concert alongside her older sister, Natalia Bryant, and mother, Vanessa Bryant, who was also dressed for the occasion. Vanessa showed off her bejeweled denim jacket on social media, which featured an image of Swift and Kobe during her 1989 World Tour back in 2015. The word “Swiftie” also appeared in chunky letters across her shoulders.
On the front the glitzy jacket, lyrics from Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” appeared inside an embroidered heart surrounded by gems. “Say you’ll remember me,” the words read.
Vanessa also showed off her personalized friendship bracelets featuring Kobe and her late daughter Gigi Bryant’s names.
The Lakers great, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others died in January 2020, after their helicopter slammed into a hillside in Calabasas, Calif. They were traveling at the time to a youth basketball game despite foggy conditions sweeping across the area.
Like the rest of his family, Kobe was also a fan of Swift and her work.
“I think it’s important to listen to people who do great things,” he said in a 2019 interview. “Taylor’s been at the top of the game for a very, very long time.”
