Here comes the bride at last! Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh has married former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt after an engagement of 19 years.
The couple tied the knot in a small wedding in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday, People reports.
Yeoh and Todt’s wedding program listed important dates from their love story so far. “We met in Shanghai on 4th June 2004. On 26th July 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES!” the program reads, as seen in a photo posted to Instagram by former Formula 1 racer Felipe Massa.
“Today after 6992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!” the couple wrote in the program.
Massa also shared a slideshow of photos from the festivities, including a selfie of himself with the bride and groom and the Oscar statuette that Yeoh won this year for “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”
Yeoh can be seen wearing two outfits in the snapshots that Massa shared: a cream-colored silk blouse with a matching tasseled skirt, and a nude-hued lace dress and a matching silk bodice. Todt, meanwhile, sported a navy blue suit with a patterned blue tie.
Yeoh, who was previously married to Hong Kong businessman Dickson Poon, referenced her and Todt’s long engagement in a 2021 interview with The Guardian.
“We’ve been threatening to get married for such a long time,” she joked at the time. “Sometimes we say, ‘Wait, didn’t we already do it?’”
And in 2022, the “American Born Chinese” star responded to rumors that she and Todt were thinking about walking down the aisle.
“Thinking!” she told Town & Country with a snort. “He counts the number of days rather than the years. I’ll ask him, ‘What is the present for 6,725 days?’”
