Looks like tennis champion Naomi Osaka can add “mother” to her long list of titles.

People reports that the 25-year-old and her boyfriend, rapper Cordae, also 25, have welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles.

“They are doing well,” a source tells the magazine.

The news comes exactly six months after Osaka announced her pregnancy on Instagram.

“The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find that it’s the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun,” the Japan-born athlete wrote in a post, three days after withdrawing from the 2023 Australian Open. “These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to.”

“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted,” she went on. “Every day is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘That’s my mom,’ haha.”

Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam singles champion, told People in April that she and Cordae, a Grammy-nominated alum of the rap group YBN, were discussing baby names. “I would say that we are going for something more unique than traditional,” she added.

She also said she wanted to be the “best version” of herself for her incoming child. “Obviously, I’ve never been a mother before so I’m taking it day-by-day and just trying to be someone that my son or daughter will be proud of,” she explained.

Osaka and Cordae have been in a relationship since 2019, when they went on their first date to a Los Angeles Clippers game.

In a GQ profile two years later, Cordae admitted that he didn’t know Osaka was a tennis star at first. They both had high praise for one another in that profile, with Cordae praising Osaka’s “worldly perspective” and Osaka calling him “quite a romantic dude.”
