Happy weekend! These yellow sailor pants caught my eye at Shopbop, but it looks like they come in a ton of colors and patterns at lots of stores. I think the place they’re hemmed on this model — about 2-3″ above her ankle bone — look perfect.
Yellow is a fun color to wear — white is the obvious choice for a top, but navy and gray are also great. This stripe could also be a fun pattern to mix with another one — I could see a small floral pattern being fun, or maybe even a tie-dye or top with embroidered details or a small texture like eyelet. For my $.02 I’d avoid wearing it with another geometric pattern like windowpane, another stripe like Breton, or a pattern that is too “regular” like a polka dot — but that’s just me.
(A yellow top would also be great, as pictured, but I find yellows hard to wear together unless they’re the exact same shade. Orange or red could also be good options.)
