This week, the Nassau County Bar Association installed Sanford Strenger as its 121st president.
A partner of Salamon Gruber Blaymore & Strenger, Strenger was installed on Tuesday at Domas in Mineola by Nassau County Supreme Court Judge Denise Sher.
Strenger was installed alongside NCBA Officers Daniel Russo, of the Law Office of Daniel W. Russo, as president-elect; James Joseph, of Joseph Law Group as vice president; Nassau County District Court Judge Maxine Broderick as treasurer; and Samuel Ferrara of Abrams Fensterman as secretary.
Strenger aims to focus on member engagement. His goals include expanding opportunities for members to market their skills to fellow members and others through new networking opportunities. He also plans to support the accessibility of justice efforts and pro bono services to our veterans.
“It is my view that a bar association is charged with the primary mission of enhancing its members’ practice of law and their lives, through education, access to decision-makers, networking, and social opportunities,” Strenger said in a statement. “To fully achieve its mission, it is also charged with acting to enhance the communities where its members live by providing opportunities for its members to give back to their community.”
Strenger litigates complex real estate, commercial, corporate, healthcare and environmental matters in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies from inception through trial and appellate practice and counsels’ clients on commercial, real estate and health care transactions.
Tuesday’s event was also attended by Nassau County Administrative Judge Vito DeStefano, who was invited to install the new officers of the NCBA board of directors and Nassau Academy of Law. Joining the bar association’s board are Stephanie Alberts, a partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana, and Jared Kasschau, a partner at Harris Beach. Daniel Strecker, a partner at Harris Beach, is the new chair of the NCBA’s Lawyer Assistance Committee.
