Speed, openers for Turnstile on their recent Australian tour, had one very excited fan that was certainly trying to accomplish something in the crowd. In a short video posted to Twitter, the fan runs toward another person kneeling down on the ground, launches themselves upward, and takes a pretty hard header right into the security barrier.

We have a few questions:

  • There wasn’t even a song playing. What’s the hype for?
  • What was the goal here? It looks like the stage is really far away, and that barrier is no joke.
  • You’re not Greg Puciato. This isn’t a question or anything, I’m just saying the whole “head run” thing doesn’t look easy.
  • Is this person okay? That end shot looks a little gnarly.

According to pretty much every other video on Speed‘s Twitter, there were plenty of opportunities to mosh… and then there was the opportunity to just go full speed right into an immovable barrier and crumple on the ground.
