MOLLY have released a new single called ‘Ballerina’. It’s the latest offering from the Austrian duo’s forthcoming LP Picturesque, following the previously released ‘The Golden Age’. Take a listen below.

‘Ballerina’ is based on the Hans Christian Andersen story The Steadfast Tin Soldier. “It’s a bittersweet story about a tin soldier’s love for a paper ballerina,” singer/guitarist Lars Andersson explained in a statement. “Like all the best fairy-tales it ends tragically, just like the song.”

“We started off with a specific goal to create a proper MOLLY track with all the usual quirks and features, but keep it under the four-minute mark,” Lars Andersson added of the track. “Spoiler: we didn’t succeed, but it’s close enough I guess.”

Picturesque is set for release on January 13.
