Teenager dies from gunshot wound in Brooklyn

A 17-year-old boy died Friday night after he was found wounded inside a Brooklyn apartment building, police said.

Officers responding to a call for a person shot found the teen sprawled out in a stairway inside the building on Caton Ave. near Bedford Ave. in Flatbush at about 8:55 p.m., cops said.

The boy was found unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his lower back.

He was lying on the landing of the stairway in between the first and second floor of the six-story building.

Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, cops said.

There were no arrests as of late Friday.
