Traffic alert: A ‘suspicious canister’ shuts down roads in downtown Miami

A “suspicious canister” has shut down a stretch of road in downtown Miami on Tuesday morning as police investigate.

Shortly after 10 a.m., Miami Police posted on X advising drivers to avoid the area of northwest first avenue to northeast first avenue between third and sixth streets after a canister was found at North Miami Avenue and Northeast fifth street.
