Game wardens search for missing man at Benbrook lake near Sunday afternoon

A search is ongoing at Benbrook Lake after a man went underwater Sunday afternoon and did not resurface, officials said.

Texas Game Wardens have responded to a “possible water-related fatality” at Benbrook Lake, a spokesperson said in a statement about 6 p.m.

Witnesses reported that a man went underwater in a designated swimming area near Mustang Park and did not resurface, officials said.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s office is also assisting to look for the missing man in the water, a spokesperson confirmed.
