Barclays Wyndham Earner Credit Card Review (2026.6 Update: 75k Offer; Benefits Refreshed) – US Credit Card Guide

[2026.6 Update] The new welcome offer is 75k: earn 30,000 Wyndham Points after spending $1,000 within the first 90 days, plus another 45,000 Wyndham Points after spending $500 at Wyndham within the first 180 days. Given the structure of this offer, it is only suitable for people who already plan to make Wyndham purchases. The benefits on this card have also been slightly refreshed:

• The earning structure has been adjusted: gas purchases have been changed from 5x to 3x, while dining and grocery stores have been changed from 2x to 3x.

Benefits

1. 75k offer: earn 30,000 Wyndham points after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days, and also earn 45,000 Wyndham points after spending $500 at Hotels by Wyndham in the first 180 days. The best recent offer was 75k points with no Wyndham-specific spending requirement.
2. Wyndham points are valued around 0.7 cents/point (Hotel Points Value), and the redemption structure is very simple with only three tiers of redemption: 7.5k/15k/30k points. So the 75k highest welcome offer is worth about $525.
3. [New] Earn 5 points per $1 spent on eligible purchases made at Hotels By Wyndham; Earn 3 points per $1 spent on eligible Vacation Club, dining and grocery store purchases (excluding Target and Walmart), as well as eligible gas and EV charging purchases; Earn 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases (excluding Vacation Club down payments).
4. Redeem 10% fewer Wyndham Rewards points for award nights. That means you only need 6.75k/13.5k/27k points for redemption.
5. Annual Bonus: Earn 7,500 bonus points each anniversary year after you spend $15,000 on eligible purchases.
6. Automatically receive a Wyndham Rewards Gold Membership.
7. Cardmember discount for Wyndham paid stays.
8. No foreign transaction fee.
9. No annual fee.

Disadvantages

1. The free night is typically not worth a lot since most Wyndham hotels are not very expensive.
2. Note that Wyndham points expire after 18 months for inactivity, and expire after 4 years no matter what. Therefore it is not a good idea to accumulate a lot of Wyndham points if you don’t plan to stay in Wyndham in the near future.

Recommended Application Time

1. Barclays value the number of recent hard pulls a lot, we recommend you apply when you have less than 6 hard pulls in the past 6 months.
2. [6/24 rule] Similar to Chase 5/24 rule, Barclays will reject your application if you have 6 or more new accounts in the past 24 months. Note that this is a soft rule for Barclays.
3. We recommend you apply for this card after you have a credit history of at least one year.

Summary

We recommend applying for the Barclays Wyndham Earner Premier or the  Barclays Wyndham Earner Plus for a higher welcome offer, and then downgrading it to this no annual fee version when you don’t want to pay the annual fee anymore. It’s really nice that the reward night discount is also on this no annual fee card.
