Two people, including a Massachusetts State Police trooper, were hurt in a crash on I-95 in Salisbury on Saturday afternoon.
State police said the trooper had stopped his cruiser, emergency lights on, to grab a ladder that was blocking the highway on I-95S before the 495 exit around 2:15 p.m. When he got back into the car, he was hit by another vehicle.
The trooper was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries. The other driver was taken to Lawrence General Hospital. Their condition was not immediately clear.
Some travel lanes are still closed in the area for investigation. More details were not immediately available.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
