SUV crashes into Santa Rosa grocery store, 6 injured

(KRON) — At least six people were injured in Santa Rosa Friday when a woman drove a red Hyundai SUV drove into the facade of the Oliver’s Market grocery store at 560 Montecito Blvd. around 11:49 a.m., according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

Four of the victims were taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries, the Santa Rosa Fire Department told KRON4 News. The victims appear to have been inside the grocery store at the time of the crash, officials said.

The SUV “collided with the front of the building and entered into the checkstand area,” SRPD said.

Man charged with pimping in San Francisco

The Santa Rosa Police Department is still investigating the cause of the crash. The driver is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

Officials are actively assessing the structural integrity of the building. The store is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day.
