Cyprus were one of the first nations to confirm their choice of Eurovision Song Contest act with the fantastic Antigoni, a known-faces to many in UK audiences thanks to her Love Island appearance. Yet those that have continued to follow her career will know that she is a talented musician and an incredibly smart choice for the Cypriot broadcaster CyBc.
The star revealed JALLA, a tribute to her Cypriot roots, a high-energy pop anthem that is perfect for the Eurovision stage. The track sees Antigoni collaborate with Charalambous Kallona, Connor Mullally-Knight, Demetris Nikolaou, Klejdi Lupa, Paris Kalpos, and Trey Qua.
Antigoni shares: “I’ve never been so proud of a video. My Greek Cypriot roots are the essence of who I am and I feel honoured to share a taste of our beautiful island through this visual.” She continues: ““JALLA” means “MORE” (κι άλλα) in Cypriot dialect, and what a joy it is to share the language of my people in a song the world will hear on the Eurovision stage.”
