(KRON) — The San Bruno Police Department said a homicide investigation is underway after reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Keefe Court on Friday afternoon subsequently led to a fire at the location.
San Bruno police said officers and fire crews responded to the scene at 3 p.m.
“During the investigation, the victim was transported to an area hospital and succumbed to their injuries,” said police.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

“The scene is still active. Please stay out of the area,” said San Bruno police in a previous social media post just after 5:15 p.m.
San Bruno police said their Investigation Services department is working with the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office in handling the homicide investigation.
Police added that no further details on the case are available at this time.
