Police respond to shots fired as firefighters battle San Bruno house fire; 1 person hospitalized

SAN BRUNO, Calif. (KGO) — Police and firefighters responded to a shooting that was followed by a house fire in San Bruno Friday afternoon.

It began at around 3:30 p.m. at Keefe Court near Rosewood Drive.

In addition to an aggressive response from firefighters, there was a large police presence at the scene.

San Bruno Police told ABC7 Eyewitness News there was a shooting outside of the house before the fire started. One shooting victim was taken to the hospital.

Our ABC7 photographer there said he heard what sounds like ammunition going off inside the burning house.

The entire house is gutted and smoke and flames are visible from I-280.
