DUI driver smashes into Fairfield home: PD

(KRON) — A car plowed into a house on the 5300 block of Fields Court in Fairfield Friday.

A caller reported to police around 6:24 p.m. that the car was speeding on Hancock Drive before it drove through a fence and into the back of the home.

“When personnel from Fairfield Fire and officers arrived, the vehicle was trapped under a lot of debris and there was clear structural damage to the two-story residence,” Fairfield PD said. “A child inside the residence was struck by debris and extricated from the home by members of Fairfield Fire Department, but sustained no injuries.”

Mountain lion spotted in North Bay backyards

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Matthew Salagubang, was pulled from the wreck by first responders. Salagubang was taken to the hospital for treatment and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
