BETHESDA, Md. — A reward is being offered for information after hate language was found spray-painted on the exterior of Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda earlier this month.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the spray-paint was found on Jan. 16. The messages were directed at the Muslim community and included anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian language.

The Muslim Public Affairs Council’s First Amendment Center is now also offering an additional $3,000 reward to help identify and locate those involved.
While surveillance footage of the area shows several people running away from the school toward a football field around 2:30 a.m. that night, no suspects have been located and no descriptions are available at this time.
