A pedestrian was struck and killed after walking into traffic at Federal Boulevard and West 96th Avenue in Westminster on Friday morning, police officials said.
The crash happened at around 6:30 a.m., when Westminster Police Department officers responded to 911 calls about a crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian near the intersection.
Officers found a 39-year-old man lying in the road and started life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead.

The early investigation shows the man walked into traffic and was hit by two vehicles, agency officials said in a news release. Both drivers stayed on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash, police said.
Southbound Federal was closed between 96th Avenue and Green Court for more than three hours after the crash, reopening at 10 a.m.
