Manhunt underway after suspect escapes custody from Ben Taub hospital, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — A manhunt is underway after a suspect escaped custody from Ben Taub Hospital on Friday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says Carlos Molina Hernandez, 27, escaped custody at 4:46 p.m. from the hospital. HCSO says that Hernandez was taken to a hospital at 12:08 p.m. following an aggravated assault call in the 9800 block of Berry Orchard Lane.
