Authorities tell WUSA that one person was medevaced by USPP.
WASHINGTON — Metropolitan Police are on the scene of a double shooting in Southeast D.C. on New Year’s Eve.
Officers were called to the area of Ridge Rd. and 37th St. SE after multiple calls were received reporting a shooting in the area around 1:05 p.m., DC Police officials said.
Once on the scene, police found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities tell WUSA that one person was medevaced by US Park Police.
One of the two victims was taken to an area hospital in critical condition and later died. Police have said the second victim is conscious and breathing, but did not go into further detail regarding their injuries.
Investigators are looking for a suspect vehicle described as a black Honda, police said.
