One person was killed on Christmas night after being struck by a car in Grand Prairie, police said in a statement Friday.
The victim, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 42-year-old Roger Torres, attempted to cross the road in the 5400 block of Lake Ridge Parkway at around 8:30 p.m., police said.
As he attempted to cross, Torres was struck by an oncoming vehicle and died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver who struck Torres remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. No charges are expected to be filed.
