McMinnville Fire Dist. – KXL

McMinnville Fire Dist. – At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday, December 19, McMinnville Fire District was dispatched to a working commercial structure fire in the 1700 block of Highway 18.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure fully involved. Due to the intensity of the fire, the incident was quickly upgraded to a second alarm, and shortly thereafter to a third alarm. Crews transitioned to a defensive firefighting strategy, focusing on containing the fire and protecting nearby buildings.

The property did not have on-site fire hydrants. To support suppression efforts, nine water tenders responded and shuttled water from the west side of McMinnville’s water system.

In total, 21 heavy apparatus and four chief officers responded to the incident. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
