Officials have reached out to the Department of Building Inspection to determine if the building is structurally sound following the collision. In the meantime, SFFD confirmed that its Heavy Rescue unit have put in a temporary spot shore which helps keep the building stable.
SFFD said that it turned over the property back to the building owner just after 3 p.m.
“There were no impacts to mail or packages, all mail pieces were recovered and delivered,” USPS told KRON4 while also confirming that the incident is an active investigation.
