WASHINGTON — A round of snow will rush through the region late Saturday night and last into the pre-dawn hours of Sunday. While everyone across the area will see at least a dusting of snow, there will be a heavier band that drops a quick one to three inches. Right now, the trend continues to bring that band along the I95 corridor.
The last of the flakes are out of here by 9 a.m. and the rest of the day will feature partly cloudy skies and falling temperatures. Arctic air will rush in behind a cold front and very gusty wind will kick in. We could see gusts 35 mph + across the DMV with even stronger wind in the mountains.
By Sunday evening wind chills will be in the single digits and remain there for the Monday morning commute. Plan ahead now for extra layers at the bus stop Monday morning.
