BLUE MOUND, Texas — The Blue Mound Police Department has released body camera video from an incident where two officers rescued a driver from a burning vehicle, FOX 4 reported.
The crash occurred before 5 a.m. on Oct. 29, according to the report. When officers responded to the scene, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Body camera footage shows Officers Luis Aguilar and Bryant Ochoa breaking through the back windows before pulling the driver out.
After being pulled from the vehicle, the driver was able to stand and walk away from the burning wreckage, telling the officers that no one was left in the vehicle.
The Blue Mound Police Department said it will recommend the officers for a lifesaving award at the next city council meeting, according to the report.
“Based on the severity of the fire and the rapid escalation, it is clear the outcome could have been far more tragic without the quick, decisive actions of our officers,” the department stated.
