Trump to pardon 2 turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving

Two turkeys named Gobble and Waddle from Nahunta, North Carolina will be pardoned by President Trump and the First Lady.

WASHINGTON — Two turkeys from North Carolina will get the special honor of being pardoned at the White House this year for Thanksgiving.

President Trump along with the First Lady will celebrate the 78th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation with a ceremony taking place tomorrow.

Last week, social media users were asked to select this year’s turkey names from the options provided by North Carolina 4H and FFA students.

The turkeys have officially been named “Gobble” and “Waddle”.

Both were raised in Nahunta, North Carolina.

When the two arrived in Washington they were treated to a luxurious stay at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel.
