A pedestrian died after being hit by a car early Friday on Paradise Road in Modesto.
MODESTO, Calif. — A pedestrian died early Friday morning after being hit by a sedan in Modesto, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Police said the crash happened shortly after 12:25 a.m. on Paradise Road near Leon Avenue.
Responding officers and medical personnel provided aid to the pedestrian, who later died from his injuries.
According to investigators, the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Police said neither drugs nor alcohol appears to be a factor for the driver at this time. The Modesto Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is handling the investigation.
