SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A 50-year-old man was convicted of indecent exposure on Wednesday for a disturbing incident in San Francisco’s Crocker Amazon Park.
On the morning of July 2, a local woman was walking alone on a public trail at Crocker Amazon Park when she noticed a man, Adam Thomas Cordle, masturbating in the bushes, prosecutors said.
“Mr. Cordle was fully exposed from the waist down and he continued to masturbate while maintaining eye contact,” the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office wrote.
The woman stopped a group of children from walking directly toward the bushes where Cordle was masturbating and she called the police. When officers arrived, Cordle still exposed and had a bottle of baby oil at his feet, prosecutors said.
The woman testified that the incident left her feeling traumatized.

Assistant District Attorney Samantha Zurcher said, “This conviction shows that the people of San
Francisco will not tolerate public indecency in our beloved parks and in the vicinity of children.”
As a result of the jury’s guilty verdict, Cordle will be required to register as a sex offender for at least 10 years, according to the DA’s office.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said, “Mr. Cordle’s conduct was completely inappropriate and unacceptable anywhere in our city.”
