Chicago’s 2025 Michelin Stars, Mapped

The Michelin Guide dropped a surprising announcement about a week before this year’s official Northeast celebration on November 18, notifying longtime three-star holder Alinea (among a handful of other restaurants in the region) that it would be demoted in advance of the ceremony.

Despite the big change, there was still plenty for Chicago restaurants to smile about at the ceremony itself: Chef Jake Potashnick’s Feld was honored with its first Michelin star while local favorite Kasama was promoted to two stars (chef Genie Kwon carried a cutout of chef Tim Flores’s face on stage in lieu of the real deal). Below, find the full guide to Chicago’s Michelin-starred restaurants in 2025.
