Two injured after home invasion, shooting in south Fort Worth, police say

Two people were seriously injured in a shooting after a home invasion in Fort Worth Wednesday night, police said.

Police responded to the home in the 200 block of Beechgrove Terrace at around 7:20 p.m., according to a statement.

The suspect, who is known to police, had broken into the home prior to the shooting and waited for the victims to arrive, officials said.

The victims were taken to an area hospital in serious but stable condition, according to the statement. Officers are searching for the known suspect.
