SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — At least two cats were rescued after a fire broke out at a residential building in San Francisco’s Telegraph Hill neighborhood Friday night.
A resident told ABC7 News that she was walking home around 5 p.m. when she noticed one of the top units of the building on fire and immediately called 911.
SFFD crews responded to the building in the 100 block of Montgomery Street and worked quickly to put out the flames.
Fire officials say this was a challenging incident due to the proximity of other buildings and the steep street.
Thankfully, no one was injured in this fire, and crews rescued two cats.
At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown, but an investigation is underway.
