Investigation underway after teenager shot, killed in northwest Harris County, HCSO says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a person was shot and killed in northwest Harris County on Monday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened near an apartment complex on Bammell N. Houston, shortly before 3 p.m.

ABC13 SkyEye was over the scene where several police cruisers and yellow tape lined the outside of the complex, with bystanders looking on.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on social media that CPR was administered to the victim, but they died at the scene.

Gonzalez said the victim appeared to be a teenager or young adult.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting or if anyone is in custody at this time.
